CARD REVIEW

The Cashback SBI Credit Card remains one of the most effective tools in the market for maximizing savings on digital shopping. Its primary strength lies in the flat 5% cashback on online spends, which is remarkably high for a card that doesn’t restrict users to a single e-commerce ecosystem. For a moderate annual fee of ₹999, which is reversible upon reaching the ₹2 Lakh spending milestone, it offers excellent value for middle-income households.

However, the card has seen some devaluation, most notably the removal of airport lounge access and the exclusion of utilities and insurance from its rewards program. The monthly cashback cap of ₹5,000 also limits its appeal for very high spenders. Despite these drawbacks, it is a “must-have” as a secondary card dedicated specifically to online retail therapy to ensure a guaranteed 5% return.
